Pain Medicine Fellowship

The Department of Orthopedics and Rehabilitation at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, offers a one year fellowship position in Pain Medicine.

Fellows  are trained by multidisciplinary faculty including the Department of Anesthesiology. Interventional pain training is balanced among outpatient clinics, procedure centers and inpatient consult services. Other experiences include acute pain, headache and facial pain, palliative care, outpatient and inpatient pediatric pain, pain psychiatry and psychology, addiction medicine, and musculoskeletal and neuroradiology. Curriculum is based on the International Association for the Study of Pain (IASP) Core Curriculum for Pain Professionals.

Events within the program include a Research Day Symposium, simulation training at our state-of-the-art simulation center, cadaver labs, suture skills training, spine and nerve/plexus anatomy and radiofrequency and dorsal root ganglion stimulation/spinal cord stimulation.
