Research is an extremely important part of our mission. Through basic science and clinical studies we strive to expand and improve the knowledge base in our field. By offering our own fellowship programs and contributing to other university research training programs we not only directly train the next generation of researchers, but also provide a rich learning environment for all of our residents.

Clinical Research

Research in the clinical setting provides valuable insights for improvement of procedure outcomes and patient care.

Basic Research

Our basic science researchers conduct research in neuroscience, pain and genomics which is funded by NIH and other external sponsors.

Research Training Programs

As physicians and scientists who are active investigators and clinicians, we are committed to providing a rich training environment. We direct and participate in research training programs that involve undergraduate, graduate, and medical students, as well as postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty.

Research Publications

Fulfilling our commitment to broaden knowledge in anesthesiology, we publish the results of our research.
